What is GCSE Boost?

The UK’s first wellbeing and careers show for Year 11s

GCSE Boost is a groundbreaking wellbeing and careers experience that brought together up to 2,000 Year 11 students from Bristol and the South West at the iconic Aerospace Bristol.

Taking place beneath the world-famous Concorde, the event combined inspiration, practical support and real-world careers insight at a crucial moment in students’ lives. Through four powerful, TEDx-style keynote talks, students engaged with topics including mental health, wellbeing, motivation, nutrition, aspirations and GCSE exam techniques.

The event was highly successful in helping students feel more confident, calmer and better prepared as they entered exam season. Employers and organisations played a key role, connecting with young people in a positive, accessible and inclusive environment, reinforcing that opportunities exist for every student—whatever their results.

GCSE Boost proved that when wellbeing and careers come together, students thrive.

The GCSE Boost vision now intends to expand across the UK, aiming to help thousands of students prepare for their GCSEs while supporting them with their mental health and post-16 opportunities.

Why is GCSE Boost Important?

Find Out More

“We are really excited for all our year 11 students to attend GCSE Boost. Having worked with Junior before, I have been impressed by how he manages to engage all students and really get them thinking hard about how they can help themselves to get the best possible outcomes. The big appeal of GCSE Boost is the balanced focus of study techniques, but also self-care, which is so important for students to understand if they are going to fulfil their potential.”
